Lanzante, renowned for its expertise in transforming race cars into road-legal marvels, has once again captivated the automotive world. The latest creation from the aftermarket specialist is the conversion of two Porsche 935 track-only cars into road-legal vehicles, making their debut at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The journey began when two Porsche 935 owners approached Lanzante with a unique challenge: to convert their exclusive track-only 911s into vehicles fit for the road. Originally unveiled at the 2018 Rennsport Reunion, the Porsche 935 is based on the 911 GT2 RS and features a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six engine producing 700 horsepower. Despite only 77 units being produced, they were all intended to remain on the track—until now.

After 18 months of meticulous development, Lanzante successfully transformed the Porsche 935s. The upgrades included a unique suspension setup, enhanced brakes, a hand brake, and new wheels. To ensure road legality, bespoke headlights were integrated into the car’s aerodynamic body, complemented by tailor-made electronics to manage the system.

Lanzante’s enhancements were designed to blend seamlessly with the original equipment. The attention to detail is evident in the finishes: one 935 sports a modern interpretation of the iconic Martini livery, while the other showcases a striking red-and-white Marlboro chevron design.

In addition to the road-legal Porsche 935s, Lanzante brought several other impressive vehicles to the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Highlights included a rotary-swapped McLaren P1 GTR drift car and the new TAG Championship 911, equipped with an actual Formula 1 engine. These exhibits further solidified Lanzante’s reputation for pushing the boundaries of automotive engineering and design.

Lanzante’s transformation of the Porsche 935s from track-only machines to road-legal vehicles is a testament to their engineering prowess and dedication to meeting unique customer requests. The debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed not only showcased these remarkable vehicles but also underscored Lanzante’s position as a leader in the aftermarket automotive industry.
