Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the enduring bond between Pakistan and China during his official visit to the country, focusing on enhancing trade and economic collaboration. His trip commenced with a landing in China’s Shenzhen, where he engaged in discussions aimed at fostering bilateral relations and attracting Chinese investment through business-to-business (B2B) ventures.

In a meeting with Shenzhen Municipal Committee Party Secretary and Deputy Party Secretary of Guangdong Provincial Committee, Meng Fanli, Prime Minister Shehbaz lauded Guangdong province’s remarkable economic growth and innovative spirit.

He hailed Shenzhen as a pivotal trade gateway for China-Pakistan business connections, underscoring its significance in facilitating economic ties between the two nations.

Reaffirming the longstanding All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership between Pakistan and China, both sides expressed a mutual desire to explore avenues for heightened cooperation, particularly within the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Discussions centered on leveraging opportunities for collaboration in science, technology, innovation, and economic sectors.

Prime Minister Shehbaz and Secretary Meng underscored the importance of fostering robust exchanges among scientists, innovators, and entrepreneurs to fully realize the potential for enhanced partnership. They highlighted the upcoming Pakistan-China Business Conference scheduled for June 5 as a crucial platform for advancing bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

The visit also featured a banquet hosted by Secretary Meng, further cementing the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and China. Prime Minister Shehbaz’s engagement underscores Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its strategic alliance with China and harnessing shared opportunities for mutual prosperity.
