Islamabad, Pakistan – Unidentified assailants attacked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) spokesperson Raoof Hasan on Tuesday, leaving him injured outside the office of a private TV channel in the G7 center of Islamabad. The attack’s motive and execution remain unclear, as PTI issued a brief statement condemning the incident without detailing the specifics.

PTI took to social media to express their outrage. “Extremely shameful and deplorable,” PTI posted on X, formerly Twitter. The statement highlighted the attack on their Central Information Secretary, Raoof Hasan, by unknown individuals. Accompanying the post was a video showing Hasan with injuries and blood on his face, requesting medical assistance as he walked into a building.

In a subsequent statement, PTI underscored the gravity of the situation, stating that if the spokesperson of the “largest party” can be attacked in broad daylight in the federal capital, it raises serious concerns about the safety of others.
