ICMACS 2024 Showcases Research Work and Art Exhibition

The 2nd International Conference on Media and Communication Studies 2024 (ICMACS 2024) recently took place at Foundation University Islamabad, organized by the Department of Arts and Media under the leadership of HoD Dr. Hina Shahid. The event witnessed the esteemed presence of various dignitaries, including Chief Guest Maj Gen Muhammad Kaleem Asif HI (M) (Retd), Rector of Foundation University Islamabad.

Ambassador Ismoil also presented Tajikistan’s national dresses, caps, and books as tokens of appreciation to the distinguished guests.

According to the Chief Organizer of ICMACS 2024, Mr Ch Usman, Keynote speaker Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed and Guest of Honor, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan in Pakistan, His Excellency Mr. Shafiev Saidjon Ismoil, were warmly welcomed by Pro Rector Professor Dr. Abdul Ghafoor and HoD Dr. Hina Shahid. The event also saw the participation of Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director of the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), Islamabad, who emphasized the crucial role of media in regional connectivity.

ICMACS 2024 served as a platform for renowned academics, industry professionals, and experts in media and communication to converge and exchange insights. With 42 paper presentations, 6 poster presentations, 4 workshops, and an elaborate art exhibition, attendees explored diverse topics and engaged in insightful discussions on the latest developments and challenges in the field.

During the ceremony, Rector Maj Gen Muhammad Kaleem Asif HI (M) (Retd) presented university plaques to the honorable guests, Ambassador Shafiev Saidjon Ismoil and Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed. Ambassador Ismoil also presented Tajikistan’s national dresses, caps, and books as tokens of appreciation to the distinguished guests.

ICMACS 2024 not only fostered academic exchange but also strengthened international relations and cultural ties, marking a significant milestone in advancing media and communication studies in Pakistan and beyond.
