In a press conference held in Rawalpindi, the army’s spokesperson revealed crucial evidence regarding the May 9 riots, stating that undeniable proof of the attacks on army installations is available. The spokesperson highlighted that CCTV footage recorded the incidents that occurred within hours on May 9, shedding light on the perpetrators involved.
Furthermore, videos showing political leaders directing the rioters on May 9 have also been uncovered, indicating a deliberate attempt to incite violence and create chaos. The spokesperson emphasized that the May 9 riots were orchestrated to sow discord between the masses and the Pakistan Armed Forces, under the guise of a False Flag Operation.

Addressing inquiries regarding the judicial commission, the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) affirmed that the commission is typically formed to investigate matters under doubt. However, he asserted that there is no ambiguity regarding the May 9 riots, indicating a clear understanding of the events.
In response to prospects of dialogue with certain factions, Maj Gen Chaudhry unequivocally stated that no talks will be entertained with political leaders or groups involved in attacking the army or propagating against them. He emphasized that dialogue is reserved for political parties, not institutions, and urged anarchist groups to abandon hateful politics and engage constructively.

Shifting focus to external threats, the spokesperson highlighted the role of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in utilizing Afghan soil to orchestrate unrest in Pakistan. He presented compelling evidence linking recent terrorist incidents, including attacks on Chinese nationals in Dasu and the Gwadar Port Complex, to Afghan territory.
Despite ongoing challenges, the security forces have remained steadfast in their efforts to combat terrorism, conducting over 13,000 operations. Tragically, two officers and 60 jawans sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism, underscoring the nation’s resolve to eliminate threats.
Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to hosting Afghan refugees while prioritizing national interests, emphasizing the deportation of illegal Afghan refugees in the country’s best interest. He reassured that measures are being taken to ensure justice for the perpetrators and uphold peace and stability in the region.
