Take That Fans Disappointed as Manchester Gigs Change Venue

Some die-hard Take That fans are expressing their disappointment after the band’s highly anticipated Manchester gigs were unexpectedly relocated to a different venue.

Initially slated to perform five consecutive shows at the brand-new £365 million Co-op Live Arena, Take That’s concerts were abruptly shifted to the AO Arena due to technical challenges with the Co-op’s ventilation system.

Several fans who had secured front-row seats at Co-op Live found themselves reassigned to different sections within the AO Arena, prompting mixed reactions and frustrations among concert-goers.

Denise Taylor, a devoted fan who has followed Take That since her teenage years, expressed her dismay after being relocated from second-row floor seats to a different block at the AO Arena. Despite her loyalty to the band, Taylor described the ordeal as “one nightmare after another,” emphasizing her disappointment and anger.

Similarly, Anita Morrissey-Booth, another dedicated fan from Manchester, shared her disappointment after her prime seat in front of the stage was relocated to a position 38 rows back. Morrissey-Booth, who describes herself as a “massive fan,” voiced her frustration, emphasizing the significance of attending such concerts, which she diligently saves up for.

Susie Hawcock from Doncaster, who had secured seats on a tier to the side, also expressed her disappointment at being relocated to the “back of the arena,” lamenting how the sudden changes had disrupted her plans and diminished her excitement for the upcoming concert.

Despite the challenges, all of the band’s scheduled shows have been successfully transferred to the AO Arena, with the exception of one date, ensuring fans can still catch their favorite band live in action.

Acknowledging the inconvenience caused to fans, a spokesperson from Ticketmaster reassured ticket holders that refunds were available through their Ticketmaster accounts. Additionally, VIP floor seat holders were assured that their seating arrangements would remain unchanged despite the venue relocation.

AO Arena’s general manager, Jen Mitchell, expressed sympathy for fans’ frustrations and highlighted the diligent efforts of ticketing providers to address concerns and ensure a smooth transition.

While the unexpected venue change has undoubtedly dampened the spirits of some fans, the unwavering dedication of Take That enthusiasts remains evident as they eagerly anticipate the upcoming concerts at the AO Arena.
