He expressed gratitude for Iran’s solidarity with oppressed Muslim communities and stressed the importance of unity among Muslim nations on global issues.

President Raisi’s visit, the first by any foreign leader following the February 8 polls in Pakistan, holds strategic significance amid regional tensions. Despite speculations regarding its relation to Iran-Israel tensions, sources clarified that the visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties independently.

The visit included ceremonial honors, delegation-level talks, and engagements with key Pakistani officials, including President Asif Ali Zardari, Chairman Senate Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir. President Raisi’s itinerary also encompasses visits to Lahore and Karachi, where he will meet provincial leadership and pay respects at prominent historical sites.

President Raisi’s visit underscores the depth of Pakistan-Iran relations and the mutual commitment to regional stability, economic growth, and cultural exchange. As both nations navigate global challenges, their cooperation remains pivotal in fostering peace and prosperity in the region.
