Pakistan Army Soldiers Martyred in Terrorist Attack in North Waziristan
Seven Pakistan Army soldiers, including a lieutenant colonel and a captain, were martyred in a terrorist assault on a security forces’ post in Mir Ali, North Waziristan District. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported the incident, highlighting the bravery of the troops in repelling the attackers.
During the ensuing clearance operation, led by Lieutenant Colonel Kashif, all six terrorists were neutralized.
According to the ISPR statement, a group of six terrorists launched an attack on the post, with Pakistani troops successfully thwarting the initial intrusion attempt. However, the terrorists resorted to using an explosive-laden vehicle, followed by multiple suicide bombings, resulting in the collapse of a building section and the martyrdom of the soldiers.
During the ensuing clearance operation, led by Lieutenant Colonel Kashif, all six terrorists were neutralized. The ISPR identified the martyred soldiers as Havildar Sabir, Naik Khurshid, Sepoy Nasir, Sepoy Raja, and Sepoy Sajjad. Lieutenant Colonel Syed Kashif Ali and Captain Muhammad Ahmed Badar sacrificed their lives while leading their troops from the front.
Lieutenant Colonel Ali, hailing from Karachi, and Captain Badar, a resident of District Talagang, exhibited unparalleled courage during the intense exchange of fire. The ISPR honors their bravery and sacrifice, emphasizing the resolve of Pakistan’s security forces to eradicate terrorism from the nation.
Security forces are conducting sanitization operations to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area. The ISPR reaffirms Pakistan’s commitment to combating terrorism, stating that the sacrifices of the soldiers only strengthen the nation’s determination.
