Anticipated Snowstorm Set to Sweep Through Nova Scotia

Nova Scotia braces for another winter blast as Environment Canada issues a winter storm watch province-wide. Forecasters predict the storm’s trajectory to skirt south of Nova Scotia, making its impact felt from late Tuesday into early Wednesday.

Snow accumulations ranging from 15 to 30 centimeters are projected by Wednesday noon, accompanied by wind gusts reaching speeds of up to 70 km/h. Notably, coastal regions along the Atlantic are expected to bear the brunt of the storm’s intensity.

Environment Canada underscores the potential for reduced visibility due to blowing snow, particularly along the Atlantic coast. The agency advises vigilance, emphasizing that even minor shifts in the storm’s path could significantly alter snowfall forecasts.

Moreover, post-storm conditions may lead to onshore flurries and snow squalls, primarily affecting northeastern mainland Nova Scotia and northern Cape Breton. Residents in these areas should remain cautious as accumulating snowfall could persist into Thursday night.

As Nova Scotia prepares for the impending snowfall, residents are urged to stay informed and exercise caution when navigating through potentially hazardous weather conditions.
