Islamabad United clinched their third title in a thrilling victory over Multan Sultans. Multan set a target of 160 runs, but Islamabad chased it down with two balls to spare.

During the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine final, Islamabad United’s all-rounder Imad Wasim made history with an exceptional performance. The 35-year-old spinner became the first player to achieve a five-wicket haul in a PSL final, finishing with figures of 5-23 in his four overs.

Imad’s stellar performance began early in the innings, claiming two wickets in his first over by dismissing Yasir Khan and David Willey. He continued his dominance, taking three more wickets – Khushdil Shah, Johnson Charles, and Chris Jordan – and securing his place in PSL history.

Throughout the season, Imad proved to be a vital player for Islamabad United. He showcased his talent in crucial matches, delivering standout performances. From leading his team to victory in must-win group matches to delivering exceptional spells against tough opponents, Imad’s contributions were pivotal to Islamabad’s success in PSL 9.
